    About Finn

Finn’s Dog Food Toppers Review - Micah with finn products

    What is Finn?

Finn is a pet wellness brand that sells natural dog products, like supplements, food toppers, and paw balms. They were founded in 2020 by a team of pet lovers who originally created a wellness company for humans. After Finn’s founder, Alex, realized his dog, Bonbon, deserved the same care as humans, he and his partners started Finn with the vision to help dogs live happy and healthy lives.

Who are Finn’s Toppers Best Suited For?

Any dog will benefit from having extra nutrients mixed in their food, and if your pup is a picky eater, adding a tasty topper can encourage them to eat their meal. That said, each topper also has its own unique health benefits. Pumpkin Plus is a great option for dogs that have digestive issues and Bone Broth Plus is perfect for active pups and aging dogs who need extra joint support.

Finn’s Dog Food Toppers Review - pumpkin plus review

Pumpkin Plus is a powdered meal topper that’s convenient to use, tasty to eat, and great for your dog’s digestive system. The topper is formulated with five gut-friendly superfoods that promote digestive health and bowel regularity, making it perfect for dogs with stomach issues and bowel problems.

The great thing about Pumpkin Plus is it works for all kinds of digestive issues. If your dog has loose stool, it’ll help bulk them up, and if your dog struggles with constipation, it’ll help alleviate straining. Even if Fido has perfect poo, Pumpkin Plus is a great way to boost gut health and keep your dog’s gut biome healthy and happy.

The topper is made with ingredients like pumpkin, miscanthus grass, and sweet potato, which are high in fiber and support regularity, as well as apple and blueberry, which are high in antioxidants and promote gut health. Since the topper is rich in collagen and amino acids, it naturally strengthens bones and joints, enhances mobility and vitality, and promotes longevity.

A few ingredients in the topper include 100% grass-fed beef bone broth, sweet potato, and turmeric, which preserve connective tissue, support joint function, and promote tissue regeneration. You can feed Bone Broth Plus to your pup multiple times a day as long as you don’t exceed three recommended servings per day. Results can be noticed immediately or within 4-6 weeks.

    Our Experience with Finn’s Toppers

I love adding toppers to Micah’s food for extra flavor and nutrients, but it can be hard to find products made without preservatives and fillers. Micah has a sensitive stomach too, so I’m always careful about the products I buy for him.

After being introduced to Finn’s toppers, I was eager to try them out. I liked that the ingredients were clean and that each one had its own health benefits. The Bone Broth topper is best for joint health and Pumpkin Plus helps support your dog’s digestive system. But honestly, if you’re simply looking to spice up your dog’s food, you can’t go wrong with either one.

The toppers come in 8oz tin canisters and are a powder consistency. The recommended serving size is anywhere from one to three tablespoons depending on your dog’s weight, and each tin comes with its own scoop for easy measuring.

Micah has a few gut issues, so I was excited for him to try Pumpkin Plus. Since Micah was a puppy, he’s had a sensitive stomach and his anal glands have a hard time emptying. I add pumpkin to his diet every now and then for extra fiber and was hoping Pumpkin Plus would do the trick to alleviate some of the issues he’s been having.

Since starting the topper, I’ve noticed some improvements in Micah’s digestion. While Micah still has trouble with his anal glands, Pumpkin Plus has helped him with bowel regularity and is one of the only toppers that agree with his stomach. Most importantly, Micah loves it! Every morning, he gets so excited when he sees me take out the can, and his whole body wiggles with excitement until I put his bowl down.

Bone Broth Plus has been great as well. I’m pretty selective about the beef I give Micah since he can only tolerate it in small amounts, so I was happy to see that Finn uses grass-fed beef in their formula. Because Micah is sensitive to Beef, I’ve been giving this one to him in microdoses. He’s done really well with it and loves it so much he tries to lick it out of the can. One of my favorite things about Bone Broth Plus is it’s packed with protein, collagen, and amino acids. Micah is an active boy, so I love that it supports his active lifestyle.

Something I love about the toppers is they can be used in so many different ways. I make Micah pumpkin banana pupsicles that he absolutely loves, so I added some Pumpkin Plus to a batch and they were a huge hit. I also made a paste with the Pumpkin topper and it turned out fantastic as well.

With Bone Broth Plus, I added water to the powder and heated it on the stove to make a liquid broth. This ended up being my favorite way to use it since I could pour it over Micah’s food to warm it up.

    Conclusion

Pumpkin Plus and Bone Broth Plus are two of Finn’s dog food toppers. They’re highly nutritious supplements that can enhance your dog’s diet and add flavor to their meal. After trying out the toppers with Micah, I would highly recommend them to anyone looking to support their dog nutritionally or spoil their pup with a flavorful treat. Micah loved the Pumpkin Plus, and the Bone Broth Plus could be a solid choice for aging dogs or dogs needing joint support.
