Bellathatch Labradors

  • Newnan, GA

Bellathatch Labradors is a small hobby kennel belonging to the Newnan Kennel Club, Greater Atlanta Labrador Retriever Club, and Potomac Labrador Retriever Club that breeds the English-type Labrador. All puppies sold are on Limited AKC registration and are available at 8 weeks of age with up-to-date vaccinations and worming.

Parent dogs have been cleared by the Canine Eye Registration Foundation (CERF) for any eye problems and by the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) for any hip/elbow dysplasia. Parent dogs are also screened for PRA and exercise induced collapse. They only produce litters two to three times a year, so you’ll have to swoop in fast at this one.

2. Big Creek Labs

Big Creek Labs

  • Midville, GA

Big Creek Labs offers chocolate, black, and yellow Labradors for use as pets and hunting dogs. Before they ever reach your home, puppies will have been introduced to water, whistles, birds, retrieving, and simulated gunfire. Puppies are registered with the AKC and UKC. They come microchipped and with current vaccinations and worming, plus will have had their dew claws removed. Your puppy will be sent to its new home with a written warranty, along with a starter kit, including food samples and care instructions.

3. Ducktown Retrievers

  • Cumming, GA

Ducktown Retrievers is a hobby kennel that produces American Field Bred Labrador Retrievers. They use the Puppy Culture program, an approach based on science, for training and socialization. They do not breed champagne, silver, or charcoal Labradors. They also do not sell on a first-come, first-served basis but instead are dedicated to getting to know potential owners through a two-step process. Puppies are sold on Limited Registration, and there is usually a 6–12 month wait for one.

4. G&L Southern Bred Labradors

  • Valdosta, GA

As a member of The American Dog Breeders Association, GA SPCA, and the National Labrador Retrievers Club, G&L Southern Bred Labradors believes in the AKC mission statement and core values. Raised on a 300+ acre farm, their puppies are produced to be used as hunting, search and rescue, and therapy dogs, as well as pets. They have a stringent screening process to find the best homes and owners for their puppies. Animals are tested for the following: PRA, EIC, CNM, and D Locus.

5. Horizon Labradors

  • Hart County, GA
