Maybe you’ve been through a rough pooch this year. So, on Christmas Eve, while you are waiting for Santa Claws to make an appearance after he Dachshund through the Snow with Rudolph the Red-Nose Retriever, you and your family might enjoy rockin’ a-hound the Christmas tree together, wearing your Pugly Christmas sweaters, sipping egg-dog or a glass of whine, and as the snow falls softly outside, cheering, “Let it Chow! Let it Chow! Let it Chow!” If you’d like to sing a few more Christmas carols, we’ve got some dog-natured suggestions for you:

  • We “Woof” You a Merry Christmas

Bone-fide Canine Christmas Classics

Does Santa Paws know your dog’s been a furry good boy or girl this year? Hopefully, Santa’s little yelpers will send something nice for them; otherwise, they might have a bone to pick with Rudolph! Although we won’t be there to wish you a Merry Corgimas ourselves, we hope that you won’t be visited by either the Ghost of Winter’s Mastiff or the Ghost of Christmas Fur-ture. It’s a dog-gift-dog world out there, and you may be tempted to Pekingese at the presents under the tree, but there should be no Snoopy-ing before the big day!

Over the festive period, if you get hungry, you could prepare a charchewterie board with all the usual treats: bread, cold meats, cheeses, and chew toys before you snuggle up with your furry friend and watch a classic Christmas movie, such as:

  • It’s a Woof-derful Life
  • Frosty the Doberman
  • Jingle All the Wag
  • National Lampoodle’s Christmas Vacation
  • The Pinscher Who Stole Christmas
  • A Charlie Hound Christmas
  • Meet Me in St. Sloughi
  • Frosty the Yellow Snowman
  • Fire Hydrant on 34th Street
