Pack is a social network for people who love their dogs, designed for capturing and sharing the everyday moments in your dog’s life — and that means gorgeous dog photos, lots of them. The site doesn’t have a full-fledged app yet, but it does have Snack, a bite-size app that delivers a fresh batch of Pack’s best dog photos to your phone, once a day.
According to Silicon Prairie News, the iPhone app was built in four days during a Pack retreat in Boulder, Colorado, and Pack CEO Megan Casey said it’s just an “appetizer” to the main app. Currently it’s available only for iPhone.
The idea is simple: Snack sends you pretty dog photos at the time of your choosing, then you look at the pretty dog photos and melt.
According to the site, “Dogs remind us that life can be simpler than we make it. Snack delivers one minute of happy, right when you need it. Wake up to dog photos, take a break for a lunchtime smile, or wind down with a Snack before bed.”
We look for forward to the full Pack app. In the meantime, you can create profiles of your dogs on the website and create your own “lookbook” of irresistible images to share with others at Packdog.com. And if Pack likes what it sees, it might include your dog photo in Snack.
If you’re starting to suspect your Facebook friends might be getting sick of your dog pictures, here’s a hint: They already are. They probably have been for years. Pack might be your answer.
