Summer Vacation in Ft. Myers Beach, Florida

Hi Everyone,
I've been away from my Dogster page for too long. I have so many things to tell you all about.
My family bought a new minivan for us to travel to Florida. They can put down all the seats in the back and my WHOLE bed and blankets fit in there. I can stretch out and rest so nicely!
We had a very nice drive down...it took us 2 1/2 days from New York because we like to take our time and stop and look at interesting things along the way.

Our place in Ft. Myers Beach, Fl is a little efficiency RIGHT ON THE BEACH!! I like to take walks along the beach at sunset when it is not too hot. I even like to wade in the warm waters of the Gulf. My mom posted some new pics of me on the beach, wading in the water and watching the beautiful sunset. Everyone comes out on the beach for sunset celebration....and everyone claps as the sun sinks into the Gulf of Mexico. The man next door blows into a big conch shell and it makes a beautiful soft sound as the sun sinks down. Mom says it is a good night song to the sun!

Other doggies stay at the same place that I do. It is a very pet friendly place and that makes it really nice for me.
Several times we went to Times Square which is a closed off street near the beach. Everyone there watches the sun set and there are many street entertainers too. My mom likes to get a Dairy Queen and we sit on the bench and watch the sun sink lower and lower ....

Florida is so much fun!! We will be going back again in the Fall. The only things I DON'T like about summer are the Thunder Storms! Gosh they scare me! I shake all over and pace and pant....why am I so scared of thunder???

I LOVE the beach.....just like my family! We have sooo much fun together!

Springtime!!

Well, it has been quite some time since I have written here in my diary. The winter was a very long one, but I really don't mnd the cold or the snow.
Today I went outside with my Mom while she planted our vegetable garden and the flower garden. It was fun to watch her.....I kept wanderng away and she had to keep bringing me back! I just get curious and love to sniff and investigate!

We are getting ready once again to go to Florida. I love the place we stay right on the beach. I can't wait to walk on the beach at sunset.
I hope I meet my doggie friends once again. My mom is buying a van so we can travel in comfort. That is good for me since I need alot of room! My mom is very good to me!!

Life is wonderful here.....I can't believe what a lucky dog I am to have found my furever home!
I want to say hi to all my friends here at Dogster....I have missed you all, but maybe I will be able to visit here more often now....

Good day for cleaning, resting and playing with the voki!!

It's Sunday....I have helped Mom clean the bathroom, pick up the laundry and load the dishwasher. I help by sitting with her while she works! The only thing I can't do is go up and down stairs. Is there any other dog out there who can't go up and down stairs too? I feel a little silly, but I'm not used to stairs so I really don't know how to navigate them.

Today Mommy showed me how to send messages with my new voki. She makes my voki talk too! She just found out how to send messages to others who have a voki....this is alot of fun! I have lots of nice new friends....I never thought I would have so many friends.

Do you know that Mom is going to take me to Florida? She will drive down to Florida from NY. I will have the whole back seat to myself...
She says we will stop often so I can stretch my legs and we will stop in motels that are pet friendly... As long as I'm with her, I don't care where we go!!
I'm very excited....we will stay right on the beach...uh...what IS a beach?? I've never been to a beach before! It sounds like fun....I can't wait...but I have to be patient...we aren't going till January!

Life is great here....I'm such a lucky dog! I love my new family...
