Beaches 2500 Shore Drive H 60 Virginia Beach, VA 23451 This 2,888 acre historic park has over a mile of beach, 9 walking trails covering almost 19 miles, interpretive programs, an authentic Indian village, and a variety of land and water recreational opportunities. Dogs of all sizes are allowed for no additional fee for day use, and $3 per night per pet for overnight campers. They are allowed throughout the park and on the beach here (not so at other park beaches). Dogs must be under owner's control, on no more than a 6 foot leash, and cleaned up after at all times. Owners must carry proof of rabies vaccination as it is a requirement for dogs in Virginia Beach. The camp sites each have a picnic table and fire grill, and there are restrooms, hot showers, and laundry facilities close by. The camping and tent areas also allow dogs. There is a dog walk area at the campground.
Beaches off Highway 60 Virginia Beach, VA 23451 Dogs are only allowed during off-season on Virginia Beach public beaches. From the Friday before Memorial Day through Labor Day weekend, pets are not allowed on public sand beaches, the boardwalk or the grassy area west of the boardwalk, from Rudee Inlet to 42nd Street. People are required to clean up after their pets and dogs must be leashed.
