“Lighthouse Boxer Rescue is a non-profit boxer rescue organization dedicated to the rescue and re-homing of displaced boxers and to educating the public on the importance of responsible pet care. Our organization takes in boxers from animal shelters, owner surrenders, and/or stray turn-ins and places them in a trained foster home to be evaluated, vetted, and spay/neutered prior to being placed in adoptive homes. All applications are thoroughly screened through use of personal and vet references and mandatory home visits prior to meeting our dogs. Follow-up visits and/or phone calls are also done on a regular basis. Although we focus primarily on Ohio, we also handle applications from any adjoining state where there is no other recognized Boxer Rescue organization”
