Top Notch but Costly
I brought my puppy here after spending $350 at another vet. The other vet found nothing and told me basically to not worry about it. They did tests and found and treated 3 parasites! My puppy got better. The only downside is that they did NOT give me a second course of treatment for the worms. When I took him to the humane society vet a month later (with the same symptoms and having viewed worms) they told me I shold have been given a second course of treatment to follow up.
Not so shocked about dogs getting sick.
I brought my dog there for an annual exam and a rabies vacc, the staff overbooked me so I ended up waiting 2 hours while they attended to my dog in the back of the hospital. I don't no what happened back there but when my dog finally emerged her bottom half was covered in urine and she was trembling. I was so shocked; the nurse said she was nervous in the crate which doesn't make sense to me because we crate her at home. The next day my dog came down with kennel cough, I strongly believe it came from Animal General. Needless to say I never brought her back, even if they offered the treatment for kennel cough free of charge. And as far as River Pet, just knowing they are associated with Animal General turns me off. Not for my furry pooch.
