Rescue Organizations Blowing Rock Road Boone, NC 28607 HC Friends for Life is a pet rescue network of volunteers in Watauga County, NC. We take the dogs and cats abandoned at Animal Control, foster them, and get them adopted through Petfinder.com and through weekly Pet Fairs.
We don't have a shelter location. Our pets come from Watauga County Animal Control and are kept in foster homes. Our Pet Fairs are Wednesdays and Saturdays (around 11 am - 5 pm) at the Boone Mall on Blowing Rock Road (near Panera Bread/Old Navy entrance) in Boone, NC. Our standard adoption fee is currently $57.00 for a cat or kitten, but may vary depending on vet costs for a particular cat. All our cats and kittens are spayed/neutered, wormed, and updated on their shots before adoption.
