Located in Barrington, Illinois, cody & carl’s blvd. offers a large selection of pet products including pet beds, apparel, grooming products, all natural treats, huge selection of collars and leads along with being one of the only pet portrait studios in the area. cody & carl’s blvd. is named after boutique owner Jennifer Schoonmaker’s Shih-Tzu named Cody, and Lhasa Apso named Carl. cody & carl’s blvd. is a proud partner of animal welfare causes including the Animal House Shelter, the Buddy Foundation, Walk-On, Harps and many other local organizations On Saturday, June 28th, Cody & Carl's Blvd. will host its 3rd Annual Canine Wedding to benefit Animal House Shelter. The free event is a must for all dog park socialites in the Chicagoland-area! The event features Hope, a 12-lb. shih-tzu, getting married. The barking bride will be escorted by a formally dressed canine wedding party. Ballerinas from the Barrington Dance Academy will serve as the flower girls and of course we’ll have a canine ring bearer! “Always expect something over the top from us when it comes to celebrating our canine kids,” said Jennifer Schoonmaker, owner of cody & carl’s blvd. “We don’t take ourselves too seriously but instead consider this event a celebration for the endless work of Animal House Shelter and similar organizations that help save animals to make this world a better place!” The happy couple invites guests to bring a doggie gift for Animal House Shelter. Additional wedding highlights: • Animal House Shelter adoption day • Stretch limo arrival of the canine bridal party • DJ and dancing • Catered canine and human reception with canine wedding cake • Gift bags with a donation to Animal House Shelter WHEN: Saturday, June 28; ceremony starts immediately at 1 p.m., reception until 4 p.m. Store hours 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. WHERE: cody & carl’s blvd.
