“An off leash dog park with two sides (one for large dogs and one for small dogs). Lots of trees with bark coverd ground. Bags, trash cans, water fountains, and benches. Double gated for safety.”
Great first visitWe went to Sweat Mountain for the 1st time today. It was great. All the dogs and their owners were friendly. There were no problems at all. Everyone was will to give attention to any dog that came up to them, and many of the owners there would throw around tennis balls for dogs other than their own. I've only been to Piedmont Park's dog area before and Sweat Mountain is definitely much better for a few reasons - You don't have to walk through the large dog area to get to the small dog area (separate entrances), the owners that were there were prompt about picking up after their dogs, and most importantly there were no aggressive dogs. I was only in the small dog area. There did seem to be a little rowdiness in the large dog area, however owners quickly separated their dogs for a short time out before anything escalated into aggression. |
I love this park. There are seperated areas for big and little dogs. Tiny little me cant get run down by those biggy dogs. Mom dosent have to watch me all the time. The people who come and bring their dogs are usually very friendly but there is always that one who isnt as nice. There are poopy bags, nice benches, and a very nice water fountian, although I am too high matinece to drink out of one. I have a private water bottle. Anyways I love the park! ~Snowball PS- I think I am gonna start a meet-up group. Anyone want to join? posted: February 21st, 2009 |
Great Park, best in Cobb county...okay, only one in Cobb countyI loved this place. Plenty of room to run and I can go hang with the big dogs if I want to. They're too slow to catch the Dagger Dog anyway. Speed is my middle name...or is it Danger? My dad wishes they had some lights at night so he could find my little presents that I leave, but I don't care. Gotta go, bark at'cha later. |
