“Its Beach is composed of many small beaches. Dogs can go off-leash from sunrise to 10 a.m. and from 4 p.m. to sunset ,but are not allowed at the beach between 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. It is on West Cliff Drive, just north of the Lighthouse, and south of Columbia Street. There is limited parking.”
No Longer an Off-Leash Beach!Thanks to the State of California, this (and Lighthouse Field) are no longer off-leash. If you want to go off-leash, Mitchell's Cove is a couple of blocks north of here. It is off-leash before 10am and after 4pm. You can still be at Its Beach on leash, just like almost every other state beach. |
I love to go to the beachHi, What makes this beach so special to me is that I feel safe and I know that my (deaf) brother Henry is safe here too. Owners always seem mindful of their dogs and there are cliffs all around so there is no danger of escaping. I like to chase balls and sticks into the foam and I always get more excerise at the beach than anywhere else and that is good for me as I get older. Maybe I'll meet you sometime. |
Loved it!We went there a few days ago and we loved it! We ran around like crazy and had tons of fun! I think it's great how it's not one LARGE beach, it's a lot of small ones side by side, that way we can't run away. The only thing that wasn't so enjoyable was that there was trash in some parts. |
