We discovered this place recently and it's become Sophie's favorite place! There are lots of friendly dogs, many little ones, for her to play with. There is plenty of space for her to run around. It is NOT an off leash area. However, many dogs do run around leash free. There is a baseball diamond in the middle grassy area, so make sure your pup stays away from there when a game is on. For those who likes to hike, there is a trail that leads down to the Glen Canyon. When speaking to some people today, we're told that up on the playground, there are mostly small dogs. Down in the canyon, however, there are mainly big dogs. When you bring your pup, make sure s/he stays away from the children play area as dogs are not allowed. Love that we can get coffee at Creighton's before heading over to the playground, or grab a quick bite over at Choice Yakiniku. Do bring a jacket as it's usually windy there. FYI - Just found out that the police academy is right by the playground. So, the place is quite safe. |
