“Most of this large sandy island in Mission Bay is designated leash-free for dogs. Lots of sandy dunes to romp in, and the calm bay waters lets the more adventurous dogs take a quick dip. There is a designated off leash location on the backside of the Island as Sea World will be on your Left, fenced in front with Signs. Very Private with endless shores to run. Bring water for your dogs, there are Porta-Potties located around the Island, 5.2 miles around.”
Fiesta IslandOur dogs LOVE Fiesta Island.. there is no other place like it! Just drive all of way around to the fenced in area in the back of the island (even tho the whole island is leash free). The fenced in area is HUGE .. we spend 2 hours just walking the perimeter of the fenced in area. Really nice people.. nice dogs.. a great time for everyone! |
Great fun for everyone!Fiesta Island offers the largest leash free beach for dogs in San Diego. Bring water for you and your pooch and poop bags to pick up after them. Porta-Potties are the restroom of choice. The Island is 5.2 miles around with the dog beach at the mid-point in the back. Plenty of parking. |
HUGE fenced leash freeFiesta Island is one of the biggest leash free-fenced places for dogs. There is tons to explore - large flat grassy area on top, surrounded by road and then the beach below. Sometimes there are even horses to sniff. There are trash cans and even poo bags available - the only thing is there are no human restrooms (port-o-pot outside the dog area) no benches or fountains. For dogs that love to run or explore or get dirty it's great! |
