Pawsome beachI absolutely loved this beach when I was in the San Diego area. Its not huge but very beautiful and clean. A poopie bag dispenser can be found right next to the side of the road where you can easily park your car. You're supposed to keep your dog on a leash until you are past the fence to the airbase and the beach becomes wider. Even though this place gets somewhat crowded on weekends, we've never had a problem as all the dogs were quite well-behaved. So my conclusion is: A great and beautiful beach where everypup can run around in their birthday suit. :) posted: August 7th, 2007 |
Really nice dog beach :)The first time we came here we were pleasantly surprised at how clean it was...kudos to responsible dog owners who clean up after their dogs. Only today did we see some messes left in the sand :( The best time to go is on a bright sunny day- it looks picture perfect, and you can see Hotel Del from a distance. The foot wash is on the human side of the beach...when heading south on Ocean Blvd, it's right off the sidewalk near the restrooms. |
