Chaparral Park is a 71-acre park constructed in the Indian Bend Wash, providing a lush greenbelt with a 10-acre lake for urban fishing and boating (persons age 14 and up must have a valid fishing license from Arizona Game & Fish Department), a free-form public swimming pool and diving area (open May - August), a playground, 3 lighted softball fields, a lighted baseball field, 3 soccer fields (one lighted), 3 grass volleyball courts, 1 basketball court, 2 large ramadas and picnic areas, a ten station exercise course, a multi-use court, a wheelchair accessible fishing pier, and a Community Center with 2 small classrooms.
