The Animal Shelter of Pell City was founded in 2000. The facility is dedicated to finding new homes for both dogs and cats in the community. It features a 14-cage adult cat room, a 12 cage kitten room which houses two kittens to a cage, and a 4 cage isolation room. It also has a covered screened-in porch just for the kitties who are already spayed/neutered. The adoption fee of $85.00 covers spay/neuter, annual vaccinations, a Feline Leukemia/Feline Aids test, deworming, as well as a fecal and a physical exam at the vet. The shelter also offers microchipping for an extra $20.00.
