Imagine being able to customize your dog’s next collar and leash from a selection of more than 200 stylish fabrics. One deserving Dogster reader will get to do exactly that for free, thanks to interior designer Michelle Lessing.
Lessing launched Lilly & Abbie, an offshoot of her design firm for humans and named for her black Labrador Retrievers, to provide discerning pet parents with the ability to custom-order dog beds, carriers, collars, leashes, and other items. She sent my dog, Dolly, the Madison collar and leash to take for a test walk.
Lilly & Abbie collars adjust via a side-release contoured buckle and are machine washable. They come in sizes small through extra-large and in three widths: 5/8 inch, 3/4 inch, and one inch; dogs with short, thick necks appreciate the width customization. Heavy nylon webbing behind the chosen fabric, as well as sturdy nickel-plated hardware, add to the upscale design of the company’s collars and leashes. Leashes come in two lengths: four and six feet.
As mentioned, Lessing offers more than 200 stylish fabrics to choose from when ordering her products. The only downside to winning this particular Friday Freebie will be deciding which one to use!
