These Boots Protect Your Dog’s Paws and Help Animals in Need

PoochieBoots protect your dog's paws from winter weather and the hazards that come with it, and a portion of proceeds go to animal rescues.

Snowy winter walks with a furry friend are one of the great benefits of having a dog. But the fun comes to an abrupt halt if your pooch is suffering from cold, uncomfortable paws. Throw on a pair of PoochieBoots and never look back.

The NYC-based startup offers high-quality dog boots to protect delicate paws from snow, ice, salt, and toxic snow-melt chemicals. (They also work as a protective barrier from hot pavement in warmer months.) With interchangeable straps and eight different sizes that allow for a custom fit, pups can strut their stuff in stylish comfort. Designs range from traditional plaid and bold superhero styles to edgy camo and girlish glitter.

Aside from creating versatile paw-wear, the company has also taken on various charitable initiatives like donating boots with “adopt me” straps to national non-profit Best Friends Animal Society  and Long Island’s Gimme Shelter Animal Rescue. Most recently, PoochieBoots made a monetary donation to SocialTeesNYC — a no-kill shelter in the East Village of Manhattan. Moreover, $2 from the sale of every set of boots goes to similar non-profit shelters and rescue organizations. Who knew protecting your dogs paws could do so much good?
