  • The 10 Best Flower Collars for Dogs

    1. Sublime Adjustable Dog Collar – Best Overall

    Sublime Adjustable Dog Collar

    Sizes: S, M, L
    Closure Type: Buckle
    Width: 3/4 in, 1 in, 1 1/2 in
    Material: Polyester

Looking for the best overall flower collar for dogs? Then, you’ll want to look at the Sublime Adjustable Dog Collar. This cute collar comes in four different floral designs, including pink and orange flowers on navy, sunflower with green argyle, teal stripe flower, and flower teal stripe. The collar has a design on each side (so flowers on one side and stripes or argyle on the other), making it extremely fashionable. And because it’s polyester, it’s easy to clean! Dog parents were thrilled with how lightweight and comfy this collar was.
However, the collar is on the wider side, so a few smaller breed pups were a bit uncomfortable due to that. Though the collar was durable for most, a couple of heavy chewers did chew through it rather quickly.

    Pros
    • Best overall flower collar
    • Four floral designs
    • Lightweight & comfy
    Cons
    • May be too wide for smaller breeds
    • Might not be suitable for heavy chewers

    2. Accent Fashion Metallic Adjustable Dog Collar – Best Value

Accent Fashion Metallic Adjustable Dog Collar

    Sizes: S, M, L
    Closure Type: Buckle
    Width: 5/8 in, 1 in
    Material: Canvas

Want the best flower dog collar for the money? Then the Accent Fashion adjustable dog collar is the one for you! This lovely collar features delicate pink flowers and a snazzy metallic fabric that really makes your dog shine. Gold-colored metal hardware makes the collar even more stylish (as well as durable). Dog parents said it was comfortable for their pups and lightweight enough not to hinder a dog’s activity.
The major complaint about this collar was about the buckle; a few people had the “teeth” part of the buckle snap after a few months. Other than that, this collar might be so lightweight it doesn’t work with a leash.

    Pros
    • Best value
    • Lovely pink flowers and gold detail
    • Comfortable and lightweight
    Cons
    • A few people had the “teeth” snap off the buckle
    • May be too lightweight to attach to a leash

    3. Buckle-Down Personalized Dog Collar – Premium Choice

    Buckle-Down Polyester Personalized Dog Collar

    Sizes: S, M, L
    Closure Type: Buckle
    Width: 1 in
    Material: Polyester, synthetic fabric

If you’re after a premium choice, this personalized flower collar by Buckle-Down could be just the thing! This is especially true if you hate the jangle of dog tags, as you can put your pup’s name and your contact info right onto the fabric of the collar. Made in the United States, this collar features unique floral artwork and is made of extra durable polyester, so it lasts longer. Plus, you can get this floral design in regular flowers or hibiscus, so you have options.

At least one person said the colors of the design weren’t quite as bright as shown in the photos online, so be aware of that. Another person said the personalization was stamped on and seemed as if it might eventually rub off.

    Pros
    • Personalized
    • Durable
    • Two options of unique artwork
    Cons
    • Colors might not be as bright as pictured
    • Some felt the personalization part might eventually rub off

    4. Blueberry Pet Floral Power Lily of The Valley Adjustable Dog Collar with Detachable Pink Peony

Blueberry Pet Floral Power Lily of The Valley Adjustable Dog Collar with Detachable Pink Peony

    Sizes: S, M, L
    Closure Type: Buckle
    Width: 1 in
    Material: Cotton
This dog collar has double the flowers for double the style! While there are many designs to choose from when it comes to the collar itself—from polka dots to rainbows—this particular design features flowers, then is topped off with a pink peony attachment. You can detach the peony when needed, then slip it right back on when you want. Because the collar is made of cotton, it’s highly breathable for added comfort. Plus, the buckles are made of eco-friendly plastic.

That said, a couple of people had issues with the buckles jamming, so they couldn’t be opened again. Other dog parents also complained about the sizing for this collar, so you may want to measure your dog carefully and check reviews before ordering.

    Pros
    • Double flowers
    • Made of cotton, so it’s more comfortable
    • Buckles are eco-friendly plastic
    Cons
    • Some had the buckles jam
    • Sizing for collars may be off

    5. Buttonsmith Van Gogh Sunflowers Dog Collar

Buttonsmith Van Gogh Sunflowers Dog Collar

    Sizes: XS, S, M, L, XL
    Closure Type: Buckle
    Width: 3/4 in, 1 in
    Material: Nylon

Van Gogh’s sunflowers are famous for good reason, as they’re absolutely stunning. Why not bring some of that spectacular beauty to your favorite canine? You can with this collar by Buttonsmith! Featuring fadeproof artwork and a military-grade D-ring, this collar will make your pup the most beautiful around and keep them safely on their leash. You can get any size you need, no matter how small or large your dog is. And, if Van Gogh isn’t for you, there are over a dozen other designs, many of which are floral.

According to dog parents, the downside of these collars is that they sometimes loosen up. So, you’ll need to constantly re-adjust them so your dog can’t just slip out. That was the biggest complaint, but a handful of people also said the buckle wasn’t very sturdy.

    Pros
    • Fadeproof
    • Military grade D-ring
    • Lots of sizes and floral designs
    Cons
    • Consistently loosens
    • Few felt the buckle wasn’t sturdy enough

    6. Faygarsle Designer Dog Collar with Flower Charms

Faygarsle Designer Dog Collar with Flower Charms

    Sizes: XS, S, M, L
    Closure Type: Buckle
    Width: 3/5 in, 4/5 in, 1 in
    Material: Cotton

This adorable flower dog collar comes in five different floral designs and has a cute flower charm attached to it. The charm is different for each flower design, too, so there are plenty of options here! Made of cotton, this collar is highly breathable and made to be durable. It also comes in a number of sizes and boasts that its range of adjustability is wide, so the collar can grow with your pup.

Several people weren’t fans of the plastic buckle; a few had the prongs break off in a matter of months, and at least one person was cut by them. Other people had issues with the D-ring breaking, so the collar may be less durable than advertised.

    Pros
    • Plenty of options
    • Several sizes and adjustable
    • Has a flower charm
    Cons
    • Buckle may break
    • D-ring may break
    • Buckle prongs could be sharp

    7. Buckle-Down Flowers Dog Collar

    Buckle-Down Flowers Dog Collar

    Sizes: S, M, L, Wide-S, Wide-M, Wide-L
    Closure Type: Buckle
    Width: 1 in, 1 1/2 in
    Material: Polyester, synthetic fabric

This lovely flower collar by Buckle-Down has a unique design, including the buckle. The buckle on this isn’t a plastic one but rather a mini-seat belt, so it’s sturdier and more challenging for your pup to get out of. The buckle also has a cute dog bone on it to add to the charm! This collar is handcrafted in the U.S. and features steel, so it should be more durable than most.

There’s only a single option available for this collar, though, and a couple of people weren’t fond of the colors, so that might be a deal breaker. Other than that, most people enjoyed this one!

    Pros
    • Cool seat belt buckle
    • More security and durability
    • Excellent aesthetics overall
    Cons
    • Only a single option

    8. Beirui Dog Collars

    Beirui Cute Girl Dog Collars

    Sizes: XS, S, M, L
    Closure Type: Buckle
    Width: 5/8 in, 3/4 in, 1 in
    Material: Cotton

If you want numerous options, this might be the collar for you. There are 14 designs to choose from—most floral, a few not. Each design has a flower attachment, though, so even if you go with the Christmas-themed collar, your pup will still have a flower collar! The collar is made of soft cotton, so it won’t irritate your dog’s skin, and the buckle and D-ring are made of durable metal.

However, some dog parents said the attachable flower didn’t hold up well. Others lamented how easily the buckle was scratched. A couple of people also said the collar runs large for smaller breeds.

    Pros
    • Floral design and flower attachment
    • Soft, so it won’t irritate skin
    • Durable metal buckle and D-ring
    Cons
    • Attachable flower doesn’t hold up well
    • Buckle is easy to scratch
    • May run large for small breeds

    9. PETFAVORITES Everflowering Rose Flower Dog Collar

PETFAVORITES Everflowering Rose Flower Dog Collar

    Sizes: XS, S, M
    Closure Type: Buckle
    Width: Unknown
    Material: Suede, rhinestones, alloy

If you want a flower dog collar that’s only for style purposes, this collar might fit the bill. It has no leash attachment, so it can’t be used for that, but it’s definitely stylish! The collar itself is basic black, but it has a sizeable suede flower on the front that comes in six colors. There are also some cute jingle bells attached! Overall, dog parents were pleased with this one!

It is only for smaller breed dogs, though, so larger pups are out of luck with this one. The flower is also a bit smaller than it appears in the photos, so it got covered up when long-haired dogs wore it.

    Pros
    • Stylish and fashionable
    • Nice suede flower
    Cons
    • Only for smaller dogs
    • Flower is a bit smaller than pictured

    10. Pet Artist Rhinestone Suede Dog Collar

Pet Artist Rhinestone Suede Dog Collar

    Sizes: XS, S, M
    Closure Type: Buckle
    Width: 5/8 in, 3/4 in
    Material: Leather

Want something a bit fancier for your favorite canine companion? This adorable collar is made from high-quality leather and is covered in rhinestones, so it’s fancy indeed! It also has a big flower attached, so it meets the requirements for a flower collar. The buckle on this is more like a belt buckle than a plastic clasp, so it should be much more durable and difficult for pups to slip out of.

Some had issues with the flower falling off, but they said it was easy to snap back on. A couple of others had the flower unraveled on them, but that seemed rare.

    Pros
    • Fancy
    • Made of durable leather
    • Belt buckle makes it less likely for dogs to slip out
    Cons
    • Flower may fall off often
    • Flower may unravel

Buyer’s Guide: Choosing the Best Flower Collar for Your Dog

So, how do you find the best flower collar for your dog? You should factor in a few things when considering any collar; here’s a look at them.

    Design

This is, by far, the simplest thing to factor in. You’re looking for a flower collar, so does the collar you’re considering have a floral design or an attachable flower? If not, you need to keep looking! Of course, there are all kinds of floral designs and attachable flowers out there, so you’ll want to consider what you and your pup like most. You’ll find tons of different colors, different levels of fanciness, and more. The design may not be as important as durability or cost, but it absolutely factors into your decision!

    Material

What type of material is a collar made of? Collars come in everything from cotton to leather, so you have plenty of options. However, you should consider how the material will feel to your dog. Will it irritate their skin? If so, they won’t want to wear their collar. You should also consider how durable a material is. If you have a pup who loves being outdoors and active, a leather collar will likely hold up better than a cotton one. If you have a four-legged friend who is content to stay inside curled up on the sofa, a cotton or polyester one should be just fine.
Next, look at the materials used for the closure. Plastic buckles are most common, but sometimes, those have prongs that snap off easily. Metal closures are much more durable, and the more durable a collar is, the fewer times you have to replace it.

    Closure Type

The most common closure type on collars is the buckle. These tend to be plastic, but they can also come in metal or work like a belt or seat belt buckle. Buckles are useful because they help you to properly adjust the collar to get your pup the best fit. You might also want to look and see if a buckle is quick-release. Quick-release buckles are good because you can quickly get your pup out of situations where the collar has snagged on something, which keeps them safer.

    Sizing

Collars come in a variety of sizes. However, as you’ve seen here, not all the collars you find will come in the size you need, as some are limited to only smaller or larger sizes. To get the precise fit on a dog collar, you’ll need to measure your dog’s neck before purchasing one. You can use measuring tape to determine the circumference of your pet’s neck; just be sure to utilize the two-finger rule by making sure you can comfortably slip two fingers between the tape and your pup’s neck. This way, you can be sure you’re getting a size that won’t be too tight for your pet.

    Cost

The cost of an item is always a factor. Luckily, collars come in a wide range of prices, from super cheap to relatively expensive, so you should have no trouble finding one that meets your budget. Search for a cheaper copycat if you find a collar you love, but it’s too expensive. In many cases, you’ll be able to find one!

    Reviews

Always read reviews from other dog parents before buying a collar! Reviews are one of the best ways to know whether the collar works as claimed. Many brands will advertise their collars as extremely durable, but that might not always be the case. And in the case of flower collars, you may find that attachable flowers fall off all the time or unravel or don’t hold up, which would make a purchase a waste of money. So be sure to check those out!
