Why is my dog jealous when my partner and I kiss?
My dog barks and gets very upset when my partner and I kiss or hug. What is really going on, and how can I make her feel more secure?

When dogs fight, they go for the other's neck. If they can manage to get a neck-hold, it's usually fatal.
So, to them, hugging looks like this threatening action.
My dog would get protective when visitors hugged one of us. We told her it was okay and she left them alone.

We had a dog years ago like that. I think he thought someone was trying to hurt the other and he would bark and try to get between the two people. He never tryed to bite anyone so we just told him things were fine.
