Why is my cocker going nuts? Watch the video at http://www.dogster.com/dogs/253971
Our 4 yr old cocker spaniel has learned to associate the voices of the newscasters of our local evening news with "bedtime". He goes from sound asleep to instant Kujo. He is normally a total sweetheart. And he sleeps in a king size bed with us ! I just don't get it.

Wow...I watched the video and you weren't kidding. I don't really know why he would do that. I would suggest completely ignoring the behavior. By talking to him and touching him, it just seems to antagonize him even more. I would completely ignore him when he's acting this way, and praise him like crazy when he's calm and behaving. Eventually he will learn that throwing a tantrum gets him nowhere. Good luck!
