When is safe to socialize my dog again after he has had kennel cough?

He has been treated by the vet for the past 3 days and is currently on medication. He is only 12 weeks old and I really want to start socializing him before it gets to late but I dont want to contaminate any other animals.

typically you can't take your dog to public places or dog parks until the dogs has had all 3 sets of puppy shots (some vets recommend 4 sets of shots). The reason for this is to ensure the puppy will remain healthy w/o any virus's such as kennel cough and parvo. Puppies immune systems are very weak and susceptible to illnesses. Your puppy should be getting the last set of puppy shots when he is 4 months of age which is the perfect time to start socializing him with ppl, kids, and other animals
