What's going on with my dog?

Yesterday, my 2 year old jack russel terrier(Jackie) started to growl at my lab mix(Chelsea) over a cookie. My lab barks at everything! She'll bark when she's already eaten a dog cookie and wants the cookie from my other dogs. So when Jackie started to growl at her, Chelsea pinned her down and now Jackie has several bite marks on her. Later on that day, I went to open my door and Jackie was behind me. Chelsea tried to bite her again, but there was no cookies are anything. Chelsea a very nice dog, and so is Jackie..something like this has never happened before.

Your 2 year old terrier is finally all grown up and tried to assert herself. Chelsea put her in her place and will continue to knock her down a peg or two. UNLESS.... You take charge of them both and let Chelsea know you will not let Jackie take her stuff, and visa versa.

Practice good manners and discipline when you hand out treats or serve meals. Both sit and stay and when they are released by name they may have the food. They also need to sit & stay going in & out doors only passing through when you release them.

Hop on this hard and fast, NOT physical! Do not "punish", the most effective discipline is a 'sit/down & stay'. Treat them equally in all things.

I neglected some of the warnings and it cost $2,000 to stitch Snickers and Sonny up. They now are behaving like equals, because I am in charge of everything and no aggression or possessiveness is allowed.
