I have recently been given several different homeopathic rememdies. Can you give me more details?

Example: Theridion is used with the dog is deathly ill with shaking chills

Kali Phos-Good all around calmer
Cocculus-wants to lie down and close eyes;
Tabacum-Desires and better with open air.

Give me more information and perhaps there is a remedy that best fits your symptoms.

It's not uncommon for dogs to get car sick, but you have to be sure that the car sickness you're dealing with isn't caused by something else such as anxiety. Anxiety about riding in the car can cause car sick like symptoms such as throwing up, diarrhea, etc.

You may want to try having her travel in a crate, or going very short distances only to see whether it's nerves or true car sickness.

For many dogs with real car sickness, giving ginger snaps about a half hour before your car ride can help a lot. Dramamine may work as well - I would consult with your vet about the dosage, though.

Have you tried putting her in the front seat with you and allowing her to stick her nose in the fresh air? Sometimes just being able to see ahead of them can help otherwise a dose of gravol should do the trick. Check with your vet and be sure to admisiter the dose at least one hour prior to putting her in the car.

I'm sorry Clara, but no dog should be allowed to sit in the front seat and ride with her nose stuck out the window. That is terribly unsafe. All dogs should ride restrained in the car. A secured small crate is a wonderful idea... in the backseat.

Ginger often can help. If your dog will not eat a ginger snap, you can grate ginger into a bit of meat and make a little meatball for her to eat before trips. Make sure not to make the meatball too big. You don't want much on her stomach. Also many people have success with spraying a tiny bit of lavender oil on the crate pad that the dog is travelling on. Finally, many use DAP pheramone spray on the crate pad to calm the dog.
