What do you call the special collars used for Irish Wolfhounds and similar breeds?

These collars are wider than regular collars and often have intricate patterns.

Its called a sighthound collar, kind of like a martingale (aka Greyhound or no-slip collar) but much wider.

I don't know about Irish Wolfhounds, but from your description of the collars, it sounds like you might be talking about "Greyhound collars". Those are Martingale collars made from fabric and ribbons. Such as the ones on this website, for example - www.2houndsdesign.com
