What could be happening?

Here's the thing. My dog Robin (I don't really know its breed/mix but based on what I'm researching, he looks a lot like a Maltipoo. But I may be completely wrong)

He really isn't an active dog. But these past few days, he seems to be lazier . He still greets me when I come home but not in the way he used to. At first, I didn't give much care about it. Then I think it started becoming worse. He doesn't respond anymore whenever I call him. He doesn't follow me when I run around and he always doesn't finish his food. I'm worried now about what's happening to him.

I also noticed he is having discharges on his eyes. And in closer inspection saw that he had red eyes. I am totally worried now. What could be his problem? He's already 4 years old now but acts like he is already in old age. Help?

I'm bringing him to the vet but I want your opinion on this. Is this something serious?
