What can I do for my golden boy's swollen hind leg?

Our 12.5 year old golden boy has hemangiosarcoma with a large mass on his left flank. 2 days ago we noticed his right hind leg was swollen. Since then, he has difficulty standing up without assistance. He is very cautious and does not want to walk (but will stand). He is currently taking; rimadyl (75mg), vitamins, yunnan baiyao (chinese herb to stop bleeding) and an antibiotic (for a UTI).
We are looking for ANY advice to get swelling down. Some sites say cold compress, some say hot compress, some say wrap...
Any advice is appreciated!!! Thank you!!!

White willow bark is great and will help with swelling and so will yucca. These two vitamins given together will work miraculous. Give two white willow bark capsules and two yucca capsules about two or three times a day.

Just a tip, if he has a UTI, you can give him cranberry capsules and it will clear up in just a couple of days.
