What breed(s) make up the other half of my husky mix puppy?
Hello, my family recently adopted a 5 month old (6 months on the 20th!) husky mix whom we've lovingly named Ace. We were told by the rescue group (Fuzzy Love ResQ) that the mother is a pure husky, but they were unsure of the father. Whenever we bring him out, people usually ask if he is either half Rottie, GSD, or Doberman, but his ears don't really remind me of any of those breeds. However, I could be wrong. Any help or suggestions would be great. Thank You!

It's hard to tell - puppies change so much as they grow, you might be able to tell more when he's older. It's also possible the dad was a mix of three, four, or more breeds, like my dog Zack, which can make it really hard to identify any one breed.
Zack is a "mystery mutt" - he looks a little like many breeds, and not really definitely like any one. People ask if he is a German Shepherd, Akita, Pit Bull, Heeler, Boxer, Shiba Inu, Canaan Dog, Rhodesian Ridgeback, Lab mix, and a lot of other breeds. I have my suspicions based on his personality, but wouldn't be surprised if any or all of those were correct.
The ears on your puppy remind me of a Husky or other spitz type breed. They may have come from mom.
I have fun just letting people guess and wondering if they're right. I kind of gave up trying to find an "official" answer.

I see a strong Australian Shepherd looking puppy. Which is odd as the Husky usually takes over.
You can always have the DNA test done. My Guess Is Husky/Australian Shepherd
