What breed(s) is Corky?
Corky is from the dog rescue I volunteer with. He's looking for a forever home.
Corky is SO sweet and seems to love everyone! He is very energetic, playful and smart. He's 8-10 months old, weighs about 25 pounds, has a short tri-color coat (brown/black/white) and he has a very compact little body. He's also very loyal and clingy, he'll stick right by your side.
We are thinking he's a tri-colored Heeler, but we're not sure if he's mixed with something. What breeds do you think Corky is?

Corky - Entlebucher/Australian Cattle Dog mix.

Not seeing Entlebucher at all, and that is a rare breed - mixes of breeds that rare are very uncommon.
Does he have a tail? My first thought was that he could be an Australian Cattle Dog/Australian Shepherd mix, sometimes referred to as a "Texas Heeler." I've seen some with tails and some without.
It's possible there could be some Border Collie in there too. In rural areas, farmers will sometimes mix these three breeds for working farm dogs.

Oh, I've heard all sorts of ideas about Snickers breed mix....Entlebucher, Rat Terrier mix, Australian Shepherd mix....
His results when I got a Wisdom Panel were surprising, but explained a lot.
If you look at Snickers page, you'll see they look a lot alike.
Tri-colored, bob-tailed, ears that flop over at the tip (especially when alert), Wedge shaped head, narrow muzzle, speckles on the white fur, dainty feet, cute as the dickens.
Snickers is 1/4 Siberian Husky (sheds like crazy during the season), 1/4 Flat coated retriever (I don't see it), That's the part we know from the test results....
We believe the rest - is Feist - a southren hunting dog similar to a Jack Russell Terrier, But we never thought of Heeler. Perhaps Snickers is also part Heeler and not Feist.
Snickers is 8 years old and a little chubby at 45 lbs. He has a bark and a keening noise he makes when real excited. Both are ear-grateing - ahg - I think it's a Husky thing, they don't bark, they howl
