Something has got to be done about this nervous urinating.
My dog Seven (2yo) recently as made a habit of peeing every single time i try to touch her or interact with her. For months i have been aware of doing things that might make her nervous like standing over her looking her in the eyes petting her head etc. Now its to the point where i cant even put her leash on inside anymore unless i want to clean up. My wife does not have this issue with her. Seven has always received nothing but love and when it happens i don't acknowledge it. I am almost at the end of my rope with this. Even if i take her out to do her business before i interact with her she will try to squeeze out the very last drop, even if theres nothing left. There has to be something that i am missing. Any suggestions?

well it is always good to take them to potty first even though you probably wish you didn't have to.
Looks like you have been trying to avoid every thing possible. You just can't take it personal. I had a male that had some issues but most of the time he was ok he had his pet peeves like no raised voices. But, just keep working at it do you hand feed the dog daily? sometimes that can help you can place the dog on a waist high table and feed her there. Use chicken diced or ham. If she doesn't pee or get overwhelmed praise her calmly. Even changing your voice to mellow not a high pitch tone might help. Some dogs can be highly sensitive. It may be her personality for life, it is good she has you to help her over this hurdle the best you can. good luck.Have you considered a harness that is left on? that way you can just snap on a leash while she is given some PB? might be better.?

Strange. It sounds like she's scared. Does she act fearful of you? Is it possible some other human male hurt her or scared her? For example at the grooomers or a kennel or vet or something? I've heard of dogs doing this but only when they are abused which obviously you are not doing to her, but perhaps she has had a traumatic event you're not aware of. Animals dont forget trauma. The only other thing that comes to mind is that she is being submissive to you. I saw a husky do this once, after greeting me, my mom and my sister playfully, my father came into the room and she rolled over and urinated when he tried to pet her. I would try having treats in my pocket and immediately upon interacting with her trying to distract her with a treat before she urinates. If you do this regularly she might be distracted by the treats and not urinate? Food is s strong motivator with my dog. Good Luck and post a message to the Dog Whisperer's website, he'll likely know!! Good Luck!!
