Puppy poops in crate and doesn't like crate or play area

Hi. I just got an 8 wk puppy from a good breeder on Sat. By Monday morning, she's pooped in her crate 3 times. (Sat night, Sunday day, Sunday night) She doesn't seem to have any interest in pooping outside (she has pee'd outside). On Sat and Sunday, I took her out every 30 mins except for 1.5 hrs when I left the house and crated her. She doesn't like being in her crate or play area and cries and whines alot when put there. Please help. Any advice is much appreciated. tx Jill

Congrats on your new puppy. An 8 week old puppy has no idea when and were to go and can't control their potty habits until they are about 5 or 6 months old. You are doing the right thing. She will catch on. You just have to be a little more patient with her. How long are you outside with her? Maybe you just need to spend a little more time outside with her until she goes. Make a huge deal out of it when she does and give her a small treat when she does. Also, after she goes potty, leave her out of the crate and play with her for a short time. That adds to the reward. She may be spending too much time in the crate, which makes her dislike it. Feed her in the crate so she sees it as a good thing and leave the door open. She will catch on, Good Luck!

All my dogs are crate trained I would take my dog out and and walk till she went and saying pee as she did then I would say poo as she did I would tell her good girl and I would walk what seemed hours but we went in when she did. The crate she had to get use to she would whin a bit I tapped the crate and ssshhhhh..... this didn't take much for her to catch on. You pup will catch on my dog took a little while to get to know to go outside and if in the crate and she had to go she would do a low growl this meant I have to go.
