puppy losing fur

14 week old brussels griffon puppy has slight balding on his back is this normal.every thing else is normal eating good, not scratching and very active. i think he is losing his baby fluff. we have a vet visit scheduled any advice would be helpful for first time griffon owners thanks

Their fur can be thin in certain places and since it is wiry, stick together. Speak to the breeder about this because they probably have an answer based upon experiences with the parent dogs, or your vet can make a recommendation if s/he believes a skin scraping is necessary. There are three sets of puppy shots due, and he should be eating a holistic small breed puppy food for his first year of life, like Ultra Small Breed puppy food (chicken, lamb and salmon flavor). ^_^
