Anemia is low iron in the blood. Platelets are cells that promote clotting. Low platelet can be a sign of "Thrombocytopenia". When platelets become low in a dogs' body, the dog may bleed more easily when cut or bruise easily when lightly touched. Symptoms of Thrombocytopenia are varied. Ask your vet to run a CBC on your dog. Urine tests can find infections. Blood in the urine and excess protein are all indicators of low platelets. Please take your dog back and have them run a CBC and a urine test!
