My Dog hurt his foot

Today we came back home and Snow ran up to me as usual. He just got up from a nap so he stretched and then he cried loudly. His hind leg is bent now and we don't know what to do. I suspect he pulled a muscle but I'm not sure. I put an ice pack on his paw for now. I don't know what this is. Can somebody please explain? I really need answers. Also, is there anything I can do to help him?

Obviously, if his leg is bent and he is crying and won't walk on it, he needs a vet.
Exactly what do you think any of us out in internet land can do for him???
Get OFF the internet and get him to a veterinarian!
