My dog doesn't have an appetite?
My almost 2 year old Biewer Yorkie puppy barely ever eats. Whenever we put his food down, he just walks right away from it, and usually doesn't come back and actually eat it until like half way through the day! It's getting concerning because sometimes he doesn't eat the whole day. We've tried giving him multiple different foods, tried both kibble and wet food, no success.

You should have your dog checked by your veterinarian to see if he has any medical problems causing his lack of appetite. Have your vet check your dog's stool for parasites. You also may want to ask your vet about giardia, giardia parasites can certainly cause appetite problems in a dog. Loss of appetite can be a symptom of so many different things. If you notice any other symptoms of possible problems in addition to the lack of appetite, be sure you tell your vet about those too. Good luck.

He may just not like the food anymore. Have you tried rotating the diet. As humans,we would not like eating the same thing every day. You could also try putting canned beans, shredded carrots, yogurt, pumpkin and Apple's as an appetizer on the dry food. Not all at the same time. Experiment. Vet is also a good idea especially if dog has been eating in the past. My Minnie Dixie is not a big eater either and can go a day without eating. She is fine and not gaining or losing weight and has lots of energy. Good luck.
My dog did this until I switched to Stella and chewys raw food. He licks his bowl and begs for more now. But do a vet check first.

Your dog must be having stomach upset or is suffering from worm infestation. Dogs that have worms barely eat. But in most cases, lose of appetite could also be due to separation anxiety. Thus, I would recommend to take your dog to the vet to know the specific cause.
Two year olds are adult dogs, and how big is his kibble size? If he is a toy (under 10 lbs.), make sure he is eating a toy breed food like Natural Choice Toy Adult formula. If the pieces in his bowl are too big for him, he might not want to chew them. After you switch to a healthier food like Nutro, you might find that it was the kibble size, or that he's still not much of an eater. He might also be eating in little spurts when you're not looking ^_^
