Yes, he will be fine. He is so cute! My dog Max ate a whole chocolate doughnut and he was fine, he did not have and diarreha or anything.

He should be fine. From such a small amount, the worst that could happen is some runny poo, if that even happens. Milk chocolate is not as dangerous as dark chocolate so if it was milk chocolate worry even less.

Chocolate is not good for your dog, and is probably not as dangerous as alot of commercial dog foods. One drop of chocolate is not going to hurt a dog, even one as small as Yoke. If Yoke ate alot, I would suggest feeding a small amount of un-spiced canned pumpkin, some egg shell, and a small amount of naturally cultured yogurt to help out with the diarrhea potential.

I have to say that feeding your dog anything like canned pumpkin after ingesting chocolate is unnecessary and won't really help any toxic effects if there were any.

And eggshell is HARMFUL for your dog as it can cause a gastric or esophageal tear, not to mention uncomfortable elimination. I'm not even sure why anyone would try this.

Getting back to the original question, your dog will more than likely be fine. You are right to be concerned as chocolate is toxic to dogs and you have a small dog. In general, the most dangerous combination is a small dog who ingests pure cocoa or a purer form of chocolate than most ever get into.

For example, a great dane eating a milk chocolate chip isn't as dangerous as a small dog eating a few mouthfuls of pure cocoa extract.

It's always concerning when a dog eats chocolate and when in doubt, take him to the vet to be safe. Never give the dog something like hydrogen peroxide or milk; these are old fashioned remedies and make things worse.

Ace

Your dog will be fine. It takes a lot of chocolate to make a dog sick. Depending on the size of the dog. Here is a link I used when Ace ate chocolate. It really depends on what kind of chocolate it was, and the size of the dog. It's a good thing to keep around. Print it out if you can just for future reference. I'm sure your dog will be fine though.
