My 8 mth old Pomeranian recently started growling, snapping/biting, how do we stop this sort of behavior and fast???

He gets like this when we try and stop him from chewing on things he shouldn't, or going into rooms where he shouldn't be, etc.

He's probably going through puberty. Has he been neutered yet? If not, here is a link to all the facts about spaying and neutering our pets:

If you're thinking of breeding him, here is a link to the top 10 reasons to breed your dog:

OK, on to the behavior.

1. Offer him a chew toy when he tries to chew your stuff, and block access to rooms he shouldn't enter.

2. Train alternative behaviors. See for step-by-step instructions. When he does something you don't want him to do, give him a command and reward him for that!

3. Keep a leash on him in the house. When he does something unwanted, say "ah, ah!" If he stops, say "Good boy!" and reward him (treat, toy, or praise). If he doesn't stop, quietly pick up the leash and walk him to a boring, safe place like a laundry room (no yelling or physical contact). After 5 min., resume play.
