My 7 month old border collie/whippet mix has solid stools followed by loose stools nearly everytime he goes.

The solid stools are released in one squat followed by the loose stools in a separate squat seconds later.

He is currently being fed puppy food and canned beef food mixed together. He is fed twice a day and probably moves his bowels 3-4 times a day. Healthwise he seems normal, he is active and playful, and has no other problems other than this.

Is this something to be worried about?

What kind of puppyn food are you giving him. An easy check would be to switch to a different food to see if this helps. We use nutro ultra for all of our puppies here and have never had a problem. Even after i got them here and switched them over cold turkey.
