Has there been any change in her diet? With diahrrea, you just never know. Sometimes it could just be the dog getting rid of some kind of bug/virus, or something they might have eaten. However, it also could be a sign of something more serious.

I would advise you to watch closely, if it doesn't correct itself by the end of the day, you probably should have a checkup done on your dog, just to rule out anything more than a case of the "runs."

Since you dog doesn't seem to be showing other signs, then it will probably be fine, but again, watch closely for changes in behavior, appetite, continuous diahrrea etc... in which case, you would want to take your doggie in for a doctors visit.

Toto, CD, RN, CGC

Have you had a stool exam for parasites??? That would be the most logical reason. Any number of worms or parasites would cause the symptoms you are describing. What you would need to do is to take a sample of his poop into your vets for the exam. If he is positive they would then prescribe the proper treatment.

Pamela - Adopted!!!!

It could also be parvo. The dog needs to see a Vet.

I agree completely with Pamela.

Some of the hallmark symptoms of Parvo include a very odd and foul smell and severe diarrhea with weight loss.

This should be considered an emergency and if this were my dog, I'd have her in at the vet already.

Please take her in immediately if you haven't already done so.

Good luck, hope she's ok.
