Is it ok to feed your dog all types of food?
Can they just eat any food even though it's spicy, sour, oily or just not suitable for dogs?

Absolutely not. Human food can be very toxic to us. Do not feed garlic, onions, spices, raisins, grapes, chocolate and those are just some of the "do not feed" items on the list. Some of these can make your dog go into renal failure and some can cause toxcity over time.
If you must cook human food for your dog you must supplement your dog with calcium and other vitamins and minerals. If not you could be doing your dog harm. Feeding your dog correctly is better left to the professionals and I don't mean commercial pet food products either. Please find a dog food without Ethoxiquin, BHT, BHA and by products. Whether you home cook or buy dog food you should seek the advice of a Board Certified Holistic vet or Dog Nutritionist for either a brand or a recipe. Call around and ask what they recommend & why. Even one bad treat or 6 raisins can cause great harm to your dog.

Just do what most people do, buy a good quality dog food that will give your dog the nutrition it needs.

No, they cannot.
A lot of dogs are master scavengers who would eat anything that isn't nailed down as long as they can get their teeth around it. However, that doesn't mean they *should* do this or that you should let them have a bite of whatever it is you're eating.
There are many human foods (and drinks) that are toxic to dogs and will not only make them very sick, but can actually kill them. Onions, garlic, chocolate, and coffee, for example, are at the top of that dangerous list. Don't give those things to you dog, no matter how much he begs.
The best thing you can do is to feed a quality kibble and limit what human food your dog gets. If you absolutely must give scraps, small bits of cheese and meats are fine.
