I heard they were opening a dog friendly beach in Melbourne, FL.

I need to know how I can find out if this is true and if so Where exactly is it and is it leash free. Help! My dog wants to go to the beach!

Judging by the date you may already know this opened in the past month or so. In October, the Brevard County Commission decided to start a one-year dog-beach pilot program at the Canova Beach Park northern expansion area, which borders Ocean Walk property.

But Parks and Recreation Director Jack Masson testified that the designated dog zone will be moved to the existing, developed park south of Eau Gallie Boulevard, about 830 feet southward of the condominium property line.
