I have a 5year old male shih-tzu, who is suddenly refusing to go outside to go potty. He has always gone to the door whI have a 5year old male shih-tzu, who is suddenly refusing to go outside to go potty. He has always gone to the door when he has needed to go, but now we can't get him near it. You mention the word and he starts growling at us. Is there any kindof medical problem that would affect him like this? Thanks

Sometimes a medical issue will cause a change in behavoir. You might want to have a vet check him out. Make sure you take a urine sample with you. Good luck!
