I have a 5 month old Maltese and I took him for a blook work due to a Neutering surgery but he got canceled due to an ab

I have a 5 month old Maltese and I took him for a blook work due to a Neutering surgery but he got canceled due to an abnormal liver enzymes and needed further testing should I be worry about him? the parents are healthy 2 months ago the Dad had blood work and came out normal and Mom is healthy too, My Vet said I have to go back for retesting in 2 months why so long and do you think he won't be able to have surgery or what are the risk? thank you for your help.
