How to stop a dog from chewing coords with house hold items?
My puppy chews coords and ive heard alot about getting bitter apple spray. But being tight on money, i was wondering about things that could be around the house, that a dog wouldnt like, but is safe for him to consume. I tried lemon juice but stangely enough, my puppy likes it! I'm not sure what else to try so i want some opinions. What is a safe, non toxic liquid or powder, i can put on my coords, that might be around the house?

Granick's Bitter Apple is actually pretty cheap. It was like five dollars for an 8-oz bottle at Bi-Mart last I checked. And I looked online, if you use a LOT of it you can buy it by the gallon for cheaper.
You could try soap,or hot pepper. (Though hot pepper extract is only soluble in oil or alcohol, not water, so it would leave an oily residue.)
Can you also make the cords harder for him to chew? Tape or pin them to floor or wall, cover them with something, twist tie them together or to the furniture so he can't dig in? And why is he unsupervised to chew the cords anyway? Whenever you can't watch him, he should be crated or tethered.

Does he have a variety of toys? Whenever you catch him chewing on anything that isn't allowed, scold him, and then "right away" give him a toy to replace his urge to chew. Play with him with the toy. All puppies need to chew. You should always keep a close eye on a puppy - just as you would a young child. Think of him as a baby (which he is) and never leave him unsupervised. Crating is the best and safest option for times when you cannot supervise him; when you leave the house, and while sleeping. I don't agree with tethering a puppy, however, as they can strangle themselves. In fact, I don't really think it's safe to have any dog tied.
