Do you mean in dog years? If so, you count by sevens.
1 =7 Dog Years
2=14 Dog years
3=21 dog years
etc.

All dog breeds age at a different rate. You might do a search for your dog breed and age on google. Not all dogs age at 7 years a year. It's like saying a poodle and a Newfoundland age the same, they don't.

Check out the chart in this link: www.dogster.com
I believe that is the best and most accurate chart I have seen. Different sized dogs age differently than others.
We lost our Great Dane/German shepherd mix 2 years ago. He was almost 14 but in wonderful condition, other than megaesophagus and cushings. I'd guess he was about 105 in human years!

So far the chart on www.dogster.com is the best way I've ever seen to calculate your dogs age because it shows the rate at which small, nediun, large and ex-large breeds age because the rates are different depending on the size of your Dog. It sounds to me like a dog aging 7 yrs to figure out how old he is in human years is just a myth brcause according to the chart on dogster my 3-4 yr. old small dog is quite a bit older in human years than just 7 yrs. older
