How much exercise do maremma dog pups need?

K so I'm not the one with the pups, my friend is. So she has 2 female maremma pups that r about 5 months old I think. They have a huge backyard to play in but they r outdoor dogs. My friend got them when they were only a month old! They were always outside from the day they came home!
Anyway I don't think they r taken out for any walks at all. Ik I shouldn't be telling her what to do but I'm just consernd for her pups. She is 14 like me and I don't think she can walk for 2 long cause of school.
So if someone could tell me how much exersize or walks these dogs need, then that would be great:)
