Are you talking about weight carried in a backpack?

If so, with proper training, most dogs (regardless of breed) can be worked up to safely carry as much as, but not more then, 30% of their body weight.

In order to get there, you need to start with an empty pack and gradually increase the amount carried over a period of time. Check out this site - - for information on pack training your dog.
