Poor baby is so little.
At this point, she's like an infant. The sleepless nights are going to go on for a while now. They can last anywhere from a few nights to a month or two when the dog is eight weeks old, let alone four.
In an ideal world, she'd still be with her mom and she's likely really upset that she's not. The world is confusing and scary to her right now and it's just one of those things that you have to go through, unfortunately.
Calming her can be hit and miss at this age, but making sure she feels comfortable in her kennel or bed is a start. Putting in something that seems like her mom is a good idea like a fleece stuffed pillow that she can snuggle against. Some people will try to sing or soothe-talk a puppy to sleep by laying near her and literally singing lullabies to her. We did this with Jack and it worked very well.
At this point, just be prepared for the idea that Mynxie may be inconsolable for a while without her mama no matter what you try.
Good luck!

Mynxie is still a very young puppy. She is missing her siblings and her mother, so it is normal for a puppy at this age to be sad. Keeping her in a crate at night can make her feel safer and more comfortable. There are also toys that can be heated, such as the PetStages Cuddle Pal: www.petstages.com We used this toy for both of our dogs. When they were puppies, they just needed something warm to lay against. You can also look at more soothing toys made by the same company: www.petstages.com
Mynxie just needs a little comfort. We do not know here on Dogster how long the sleepness nights will last, but following these instructions may help. I also agree with Jack's post. Talking softly to the pup can help calm her as well. Good luck with your new puppy.

Yes, in a perfect world, she would have spent another 2-3 weeks with her mother and litter. You can partly undo the harm by making sure she has plenty of contact with other dogs know to be healthy and well cared for, the younger, the better.
At bed time, with a new puppy, I have found lying down in front of the crate like you were going to sleep and speaking softly to it, or singing, until it settles down and goes to sleep works very well. Follow the pattern, a period of active play, outside to eliminate, and then into the crate. It is possible that won't work as well with a 1 month old puppy.

When I first got Hector as a pup, I didn't allow him to sleeep in my bed, but I slept with him in a second bedroom. I had the second bed pee proofed incase of an accident. I played with him for a long time before bedtime. He very quickly adapted and never whined once at night.
Gidget spent her first couple of nights in my walk in closet, again, pee proofed. I didn't sleep in there with her, and she whined. So I started exercising her before bedtime, and since she was hyper active, I had to really wear her out. My husband put her in bed with him one night, so I decided to use a bell on her collar to wake me if she started stirring around, as that bed wasn't pee proofed. This worked like a charm, she slept well from the exercise and playtime, but I still got up once a night to take her out to pee. No accidents, no whining and no more sleepless nights. We were all very happy.
Worked for us, might work for you and Mynxie as well.
You are right, she is very pretty!!
Good luck!

oh my, 4 wks.? why? too many babies, use a bottle to feed her. I would use a soft tipped human baby bottle, just cut the tip a tad bigger, buy her plenty of doggie formula, found at any petstore.
I would take your little baby ASAP< ER to the vet... this pup needs evaluation and a routine of feeding the right thing.
This baby might have to eat every 4 hrs. during the night as well, buy a heating pad on low, with a towel over it. Monitor his temp. and see the vet with the pups on a regular weekly basis afterwards until they are 7-8 wks old.

Pore thing is scared. My dog when through the same thing when we got her.Try to spend a lot of time with her and give her lots of love and treats.Play a game like tug of war or fetch with her to get her used to you.
Also don't be surprised if she doesn't eat for the first day or so.Try hand feeding her if she won't eat.

My puppy Cutie did the same thing when I got her for Christmas 12 years ago. I had her in a wooden dog box bed next to my bed. As soon as I put her in the box she would howl and whine... so I put her up with me in my bed and she was perfectly fine. She would curl up right at my neck on my pillow and go to sleep. I'm not sure about your puppy but my puppy never had any accidents in the bed. Its possible your puppy wants to be with you instead of being alone. She wants to feel safe and secure. Try a night with your puppy in the bed and see how it works out. =)
Good luck!!
