make sure you are cleaning the spots where he peed very thoroughly with the proper cleaner, if his scent is anywhere in the house he will keep going not even thinking he is doing anything wrong because his scent is still there. A cleaner with enzyme I believe. Good Luck!

Yep, enzymatic cleaner like nature's miracle. Use a black light to make sure you get it all! Any peeing, marking or otherwise, needs to be done outside. Retrain your pup with praise and treats when they go outside. Then the pup will learn it is much more rewarding. Tether the pup to you or when you are not watching them, crate them. Silently clean up any accidents with the enzymatic cleaner unless you catch them in the act, in which case startle them in the middle of the stream with something like "OUTSIDE!", pick them up and RUN outside to put them on the acceptable area to finish. Consistency is the key along with praise and TREATS for doing it outside!

I belive your dog is a male, if so he is marking territory the best way to stop this behavior is to spay him. I have a male maltese too and he started marking he was spayed and now has stopped
